Repack wheel bearings

We bought our 2014 3582RL a year ago and want to repack the bearings. Since it has a 6 point level up system, can I simply use this to get the tires off the ground in order to remove them? TIA for your expert comments

It is not recommended to use the leveling system for repairs but if you do then you should always put jack stands under your rv in case your jacks failed. If you don't have independent suspension then you could pull one wheel up on a block and this would suspend the other so that you could take the wheel off and repack bearings.

Any suspension maintenance, including wheel bearing repack/brake work, I do with the 6 point level up system. I do try to stay out from under the trailer when doing these things, but have never had any problem. If you are concerned, just place jack stands or blocking under the frame.

I use the 6 point to change tires and wheel bearings. When doing the wheel bearings I only do one wheel at a time. Therefore if a pressure line was to break the unit would not come down on you. Anytime I have to go under the unit I put jack stands under the unit.

Did mine the exact same way 3 weeks ago. Not a problem

Always use the leveling system for maintenance....had all 4 tires off at the same time when I changed to the G614's.

I too use the Level-Up System, but I'll generally connect to the TV to ensure no movement and will only lift one side at a time, working on the side off the ground.

Works for the hydraulic system, but not suggested for the 6 point electric system on High Country.

Actually not recommended by the owner manual for either system, but worked just fine on my High Country

When you blow a couple of tires by the side of the road you use the Level-up. Unless, of course, someone from Lippert comes out and changes them for you.

The original add for Level-Up from TrailAir listed as a feature the ability to use the system to change a tire. When it moved over to Lippert I think their Lawyers got involved so as a CYA they don't recommend it.

Someone posted a while ago that they went to a RV show and they had a unit up in the air with all 4 tires off. Bet they don't do that anymore

Apparently the guys at Discount Tire were okay with it when I got my G614's installed....

I don't know why these are upside down....I don't know how to fix it either...sorry!

Sorry this sounds like a scolding - For those of you who think using the jacks are acceptable to lift the unit for maintenance. Let me tell you about a good friend - He would be 59 now but he is 21 forever. He shortcut safety rules and the vehicle fell on him. He was a really nice young man. Still miss him!

Never-never take the chance - get those jack stands and blocks out. USE THEM - You family is worth the extra time!
