Air Fryer
Help!
My wife heard about the Insta Pot at the national rally and now will not leave home without it. Great product. She now is wondering if anyone out there has experience with an air fryer. Thanks in advance for any comments.

They are just loud countertop convection ovens. Nothing more.

Look at the shark ninja air fryer/ pressure cooker. It does all the same things as the insta pot but you can also air fry. Comes with 2 different lids. I also have the insta post I use them both. When we go camping I grab the ninja, it’s a 2 in 1 saves space ! Any questions please let me know.

We use an air fryer both at home and take it with us to our seasonal site.
Does a wonderful job on hamburgers, pork chops, fries and even meatballs.
We set it up under our outside awning and keep it covered when not in use.
I highly recommend it. On those rainy days when the BBQ is out of the question, or when what is being cooked splatters a lot of grease all around the stove, the air fryer shines. All the grease is contained inside the fryer and it is easy to clean when done. We bought the largest one available that was advertised on TV. I believe the name is Power Air Fryer (it is outside now and I am not dressed to go there without screams of terror from the neighbors) 8 or 12 quart. It comes with four trays to cook on, a grease tray for the bottom of the unit, and a rotisserie for cooking sausage, pork rolls, hot dogs, very small chickens and anything else you would normally cook on a rotisserie. Temperature settings and timers are supper easy to understand and use. I do recommend getting the extended warranty with any air fryer you may purchased as I have heard the heating units are the weak point in them but I have been using ours several times weekly for over a year now and not a single problem.

I have a couple basic recipe books for ours but when I want to cook something I haven’t tried I simply Google “Air fryer ————-“ ( fill in the blank ) and find a multitude of options. I sort of take them and combine some ideas and add to them my own twist and usually make something that comes out great. I then from that learn if I should have lowered or raised the temp or cooked longer or shorter, or used a rack instead of the basket, etc and take notes for the next time.
Just like a regular oven, convection oven, BBQ, or anything else just practice and note what works best. I cook 95 percent of the meals in our home on wheels and DW rarely (actually never) complains

Can Biscuits! About 4 minutes and done for the Grands Southern Homestyle.
They rise and get a beautiful gold color. Do have to turn them for the last minute or so. Once we tried them in the air fryer, we have never went back to the oven or convection/microwave.
We're not much on the instapot but absolutely love the air fryer. The best home made fries and hot wings come out of our air fryer as well.
