FT Insurance specifics
After almost two years on the road, we have finally cut the cord, and no longer have the safety net of a stick home.
I am going to switch our insurance to full-time status, and would like to know the specifics you shopped for in your FT policy. Deductibles, property coverage, replacement coverage, emergency relocation coverage, etc.
Any and all info appreciated. Good, bad, or indifferent...
Thank you!

We had Progressive, they bumped our truck insurance 25% after 6 months, and our RV 20% after the first year. I think they are progressively raising the rates. When I called them they said it was due to cost of insuring us! No claims or traffic violations and good credit. Needless to say we changed carriers.

Scott,
I am not a fulltimer and a little surprised at your lack of response.
Recommend finding an insurance broker in the state you have chosen to domicile in and work with them.

Lack of response? Response to what?
I know how to shop for insurance.
You contributed nothing to this post.

Scott,
I am surprised by the lack of response to your request for info from members of the forum. We normally have more folks piping up.

I got quotes from about 3-4 insurance companies as there are only a few that understand full time in an RV. GEICO gave me the best price and understand FT. They even asked me questions about how long we live in the 5th wheel per year. Then they gave me questions about how much coverage I wanted. Did all of this online. I have had two claims and they paid quick with no questions about being FT. Rates hae gone up some but not to bad.

Thank you. We had GEICO years ago and had no complaints. They handled a total loss claim very quickly. I'll check with them for ft coverage.

I have had progressive since I went full time and they have been good responding to an accident turning and crushing a cargo door plus other issues. I like them as they cover contents which some companies do not
