RV Armor Roof Any Good?

Our 2021 Montana HC 295RL developed a leak in the roof at the solar junction box. I just checked the roof a month ago and it was fine but not now. No water entry inside just contained to the OSB board a foot in diameter. I’m no fan of the TPO roof membrane as the camper sits outside with no protection and it shows after 4 years of ownership. My question to the members would you install RV Armor on your rig or replace back with TPO or EPDM. Let us know. Thanks

Use the google search above to search for “RV armor” or “flex armor” in this forum. Lots of threads come up to read. I found several threads on the subject on a sister forum from June 2023 and most folks reported a cost of $200 to $220/LF.

Rv armor did my roof after hurricane Ian damaged it. I liked that they come to you and they did a great job. Had to have 2 sheets of decking replaced. It did help to get a good quote by sending them a lot of pictures showing all the bad spots. Definitely worth it.

RV Armor just finished our roof and a friend’s roof, the roof has a lifetime warranty, it actually cost less than a new epdm or a tpo roof, just a straight up new roof this is a much better deal. Any time you have damage it’s always going to be more.

RV Armor

I Had them do the roof on my 2012 3455sa in 2020 and have never regretted it the roof is so easy to clean and still looks as good as new also reduces the noise when in a rainstorm and it may just be me but the ac seems to work better at cooling the unit

Wow! I'm a forum member on iRV2 also, but I had not seen THAT one. I found it quiet interesting. Now, a word about the price. According to the folks that responded about the price, let's just say .... yes, the cost of materials for the installer may be only $500-$1000 and they may charge $13,000 for the total price for the job. Well.... consider this:

I recently had my dually truck repaired. Actually, it was several minor things, but things I could not do myself. Whel all was said and done, the total bill came to $2500 (yikes, a bit of a bite), but it all needed to be done.

Now, on the invoice, the cost of materials did not total more than $250. The rest of the cost was labor!

Folks seem to forget that when someone else does a job for you, you are not only paying for the actual item, or replacement item, but you are also paying for their TIME and experience to do the work. That's where the REAL cost is at.
