Water pump on 3761fl momtana

Before I start removing panels and digging through everything. Anyone who owns a 3761 fl Montana can you tell me where I can find the water pump? Almost time to winterize and last year had an issues getting the pump to work properly. So this year I’m going to do some checking and see if maybe the pump needs to be replace. Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have a 3761FL but I bet it is where all the other water pumps are. Behind the Convenience Center. Remove the white plastic wall on the left hand side to expose it.

Open the storage door that uncovers your water connection. Remove the carpeted panel on the right. It's all directly behind the hose hook ups.

Its behind the rear passthru wall right behind the water bay. easiest is access is to remove the passthru wall section on the side closest to the water bay. Don't ask me how I know that!

If you fill your water tank and disconnect from shore water spigot hook-up, turn on your water pump, and you have water running from the kitchen sink, bathroom, anywhere, there is nothing wrong with the pump. Nothing to check.

If you are wondering about pumping the pink-stuff, then hook up a hose to the winterizing port and drop the other end into a bucket of water. Flip the valve for Winterize, turn on your water pump and see if it starts pulling water from the bucket. You don't have to take anything apart this way. Easy peasy.

Tip: The bucket will probably need to be level or higher than the port used for winterizing. If the bucket is on the ground, chances are the pump will NOT suck the water up from the bucket (on the ground)..... why?

Because there is a spring loaded valve inside the pipe where you attach the hose. With the bucket on the ground, there is just not enough suction to pull the water (or antifreeze) straight up hill and STILL overcome that resistance on the spring loaded valve inside the pipe.

How to over come this? Raise the bucket as high, or higher than the connection on the trailer. OR.... with a pair of needle nose plyers, pull the screen wire from the hose connection and simply turn it around so the screen is facing inward. The screen will push the little button valve holding it open. Now the pump can easily suck the water from the bucket on the ground. No reason to raise the bucket higher.

Try it with fresh water in a bucket before attempting the RV antifreeze and you can work with it until you figure out the method that works best for you without loosing or wasting the RV pink-stuff.

Try it. If the pump sucks (literally), there's nothing wrong with the pump.
