Converter location
New to the forum so thank you all in advance for any help. I have a 2007 3475RL and need to find the location for the converter. Sometimes the 12volt lights will flicker. My friend has the same model Montana only a 2008 and his converter is under the steps to the bedroom, but no luck in my case. If it is behind the distribution panel how difficult is it to replace? Thanks to all.

I found mine mounted in an inaccessable area above the washer dryer closet. Completely boxed in, had to disassemble part of a wall to get to it. Can't imigine why it would be there.

I'm not familiar with the 3475RL but in my 2006 3400RL it's behind the distribution panel, which is in the bathroom above the toilet. This is also the "boxed in" area above the washer/dryer entryway closet. JimF - you could have just removed the distribution panel (4 screws) instead of disassembling the wall to get to it, assuming the 2007 has it in the same place as the 2006.
The converter is easy to access once the distribution panel is removed, my converter is held in place by 2 screws.

Tried that one, i sure couldn't get to it. It was screwed down at the front on the box above the washer and dryer, just out of reasonable reach. Now the front panel above the washer and dryer is removable and you can't tell it.

Our converter on our 3400 is located under the stairs to the bedroom...not very easy to get to.

In our '09 3400, the converter is under the bedroom stairs, and the distribution box/fuse and breaker panel is above the the shelf in the toilet room, and above the ceiling of the washer/dryer closet.

Thank you to all who replied to my converter location question. It appears the location on this model is going to be behind the distribution panel. Once the panel is removed , do you have to remove the exposed equipment: breaker and fuse equipment? Is there a better replacement for the Iota converter assuming that is what I'm going to find as the original equipment?
