The first thing you do is get their Ins. information and a police report and start a clame. and park it.

Obviously, most people have 'more than' the minimum.. And i'm thinking especially owners of 3/4 ton trucks or larger.

Florida is just $10,000. Which I think is pure BS. We carry full coverage regardless partly because too many only carry “only what they need”.

Agreed. Too many people carrying "just what they need to be legal" which in too many cases isn't nearly enough.

Florida doesn't have any state motor vehicle inspection either. People driving their junky cars with no brakes crash into you.

And over half the Florida Drivers have a broken left arm, they must have because they can't activate the turn signal.

I don't think that is just Florida. Seems a universal thing on my travels.

I'm with all of you, regarding the minimum insurance coverage on vehicles, but not always does it work out for those people. I was involved in another crash back in 2000 that involved injuries, the guy that hit me only had $40K coverage and the medical bills were about $75K. My insurance company covered everything, then went after the guy's $40K and also took $35K of personal assets from him.

Update to the situation concerning repairs. The camper has been relocated to a collision center in Nixa, MO, they informed me that they will have the frame and suspension system checked at an offsite location in Springfield, MO. They will then address the slide and body damage at their facility, the estimated repair time is 2 - 3 months.

Similar happened to our daughter. She has always had a devil-may-care attitude toward driving and as such has racked up a pretty ugly record. Because adequate insurance was so expensive she decided to risk it.
One day she was screwing with her phone and slammed into a car stopped at a red light. Fortunately nobody was hurt.
Long story short... she got her paycheck garnished by the other guys insurance company.
