Broome101,
WOW! That is a serious problem for sure, I cant believe that is happening to your rig that is not even two years old yet. Hope Keystone will have a solution for you. Keep us updated, and I agee with Rich, I sent an email to Keystone once and never got a reply. The customer service reps are a much better solution.

I spoke with Aram Koltookian, Product Mgr. 574-535-2100,e-mail:koltooa@keystonerv.com this past week at the big RV Show in Tampa about this decal problem. I had this problem on our 5th that we traded in (not a Monty). He said he had not heard about it, but said they had just changed companies that they get the decals from. He seemed very concerned about it. I think he would be a good person to contact about this problem. Let us know how it works out. Richard

I think that the decal gets the dicken beat out of it, with the road dirt, real fine sand while under way, and the sun, they are only a thin sheet of plastic with color on them, they will always peel or the edges roll up after a while, Thats why I'll spend gazillions of dollars to have a artist paint mine on, after I hit the loto of course.

Woulden't the dealer take the ball and run with it, by asking Keystone if they will warrintee the decals. it's money for them they get the work dont they. pluss they know how to get through on the phone game.

For all those doubting minds out there Montana Keystone does monitor this forum. They called me today and have wheels in motion to look into my issue and all the ones that are having problems with decals etc. Aram and Mark called me today told me they saw my emails and responses on MOC and wanted me to know they are one it. Took them little bit but they are on it. Sounds good to me, they even mentioned my dealer and were calling him to set service up. That's customer service.

Mark is a good man..he is at RV shows Trursday through Sunday this time of year and by the way Aram is the person who took over for Jeff Rank so the grand foba of Montana is looking into the mater.. Never give up, be calm, be nice and results will come.

Aram has called me and emailed me several times in past few days. Jerry Cannon from Keystone Customer Service called me today to tell me decals were being shipped out to me free of charge. I would be up to me to get them installed since I was out of warranty. That's better than out of warranty sorry, so I will take it and be happy with what I did get from them. Aram has followed up after Jerry called to see how it went as well, I will give him thumbs up once I got a hold of him he came through.

While in "Q" site, I noticed a trailer east of me, and his trailer decals were magnifisent, all his decals were perfect, after talking to the owner for a while, his deacls came into the conversation, they were not decals any more, he had them permatilty painted on, his statement cought my attention he said that waxing the decals all the time cause them to curl and when removing the wax it causes the decal to curl more each time. it sounded like a good statement.
I truly wonder how much it would cost to have that kind of work or a custom design with the Montana Logo on the cap and sides.

For what it's worth, on a previous 5th wheel we had some decal lifting problems too. Used the wife's clear nail polish around the edges and it worked well. I wonder if some kind of clear paint over the decals would seal them in and protect them better. Only if it didn't yellow or bubble and peel. That would be even worse.

I have used the Aerospace 303 on all of my decals for the past two years. So far I have only had two corners start to peel, used a dab of super glue and they have been flat ever since. I was told that the 303 will help protect the decals from cracking, shrinking, and fading due to the sun and road grime. So far so good, just thought I would pass this info along.

Just a thought..These campers are subject to extreme changes of temperature. My campers can see temps of 100+ in the summer to -20 or more in the winter. Ever notice how in your home how things would expand and contract with temp chamges.Would not the same thing occur with the campers and would not that perhaps have a effect on the decals lifting around the edges as they try to keep up with the breathing of the camper????
