Yes.. the aluminum color levelers have the same parts inside as the anodized colored ones do and can be rebuilt

Well I replaced only the O-Ring today, as the hydraulic store said the seal was fine. So I reassembled and re-installed this afternoon. Will know tomorrow if that solved my issue. If not, I will remove and replace ALL seals and O-Rings.

If the oring you replaced was the outer one it does nothing for sealing ..it is a dust wiper oring only

If you look at post 12 in this thread, notice the black piece with 3 bolt holes...The wiper ring you speak of is on the bottom....the O-Ring I replaced is above the 3 holes on the part that inserts into the aluminum cylinder housing. As of this evening still no leak...left in down(leveled) position for 1 day and now in retracted position. Will check for leak tomorrow evening, while under retracted pressure.

That's great... your post wasn't specific as to WHAT oring was replaced... I would have also replaced the small oring on the Banjo bolt since you removed those 3 top cap bolts...
Let the folks here know the end results.. It beats spending many $$$ ordering a new jack ( which of late might not be any better ) than the OEM.. I am amazed at how quick some folks are to run out and spend $$$ on a new part when quite often $ would fix the issue...

Just wanted to note what the actual leaking jack looked like after a few weeks without being wiped down. There's a bit pooling in the foot, but we've not lost any level, so for now I can live with it but will probably need to fix it at some point.
Question for those who have repaired their jack, what did you support the RV with while the jack was being worked on?

Thats how our driver side front jack looked, before having it rebuilt by a local machine shop.When I removed my jack, I lowered the front completely and then used a bottle jack to raise just the drivers side on the front frame, just past the leaking jack.

Well after 2 days in the retracted position, the leak has NOT reappeared, to this point. I will be keeping a close eye on it for the next several trips and weeks for further leakage.

Thanks for the info and response! We will not be able to lower it entirely due to the full timing thing. I'm reaching out to Lippert to see about whether they might cover it under warranty, even though I'm just slightly out, then I will see if I can find a mobile tech to swap it (heavy machinery is somewhat out of my wheelhouse). If not, then we'll likely go the route of having it rebuilt.

You could very easily put cribbing under your front frame and towards the rear frame area and retract the jack to remove it. That will help you to keep it mostly level while the repair is being made. It took the machine shop 2 days to rebuild mine. Mine wasn't covered under warranty, even tho I thought it was a 3 year structural warranty,lol. Are you in Belpre ,Ohio?

Andy-- You mentioned you have your jacks extended quite a bit in an earlier post here. While at one of the National Fall Rally in Goshen, Indiana and while at one of the Lippert sessions we were told not to extend the jacks or rams over eleven inches. This creates unstableness of the unit and can damage the gaskets on the ram. They recommended putting blocks under the legs to shorten the length of extension. I've built myself some blocks out of treated decking. I've go two high, three high and four high blocks. I have four of the two high ones so I can add them to the others if need to shorten the ram extension. They also recommended taking some hydraulic fluid on a rag and wiping down the rams every so to keep them clean and especially before retracting them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I used to be in Belpre, but we've moved on. We're outside of Charlotte NC now. I thought I was covered by a three year structural warranty as well, but when I talked to Lippert yesterday they said the jacks were 1 year, but they're seeing what they can do since I'm just outside of that.

The saga continues! Lippert advised that they could replace the jack under warranty, but not provide labor, since we're technically outside of warranty. My extended service plan will only pay labor if I take the unit to one of their service centers, which isn't an option for me. I'm considering either calling someone local to Charlotte NC (where I'm currently at) to swap them, or attempting it myself. I'm a little concerned about trying it myself as I have no experience in this. I think after watching one be replaced I'd feel comfortable, but I don't want to over/under tighten anything, or generally with trying to take the pressure off the jack to change it. The weight of the camper has me concerned about doing anything other than hitching it up to the truck and towing.
Anybody have any recommendations for mobile techs in the charlotte NC area? or should I just hook up to the truck and swap them out and learn something new?

My recollection, without looking at one recently, there are 4-6 bolts holding the jack to the bracket, and two hydraulic lines. I think its a simple unbolt and replace job. You'll have to operate the system a few times to "bleed" the jack/lines.

Simple straight forward install as stated above. 3 hydraulic lines, 1 wire connector and 8 bolts. After removal you have to install new o-rings onto the fittings you remove to put onto new jack, and also on the hydrac valve(solenoid) where the wires connect, when installing on the new leg. I cycled my legs about 6 times and removed air from the lines. No issues since.

Since this is the front left it looks like it's got the solenoid valve on it, do the replacement jacks include those or do they get swapped from the original? Still waiting on whether lippert needs the original back within any timeframe in case it takes me time to either get around to it or find a mobile tech.

The replacement jack will only be the jack itself, no fittings or anything attached to it. So you must swap over from the old jack to the new jack. As I stated above, when doing so its imperative that you also replace the o-rings on the fittings and solenoid to prevent any leakage.
