Received the new MW Tuseday and installed it Wednesday. Works great. Will see how long this one last. Only have 4 more months on warranty then go to extended warranty.

Our Convection does not work. Tray moves, and noise is made, but no heat. We called Half-Time folks in Florida. Since we are still under warranty they are sending a repair person to our RV site. We are waiting for a date on this since we just spoke to them last week. The Convection is no big deal really and we only use the microwave for the most part. We used the Convection twice and it worked, but no longer and we have unplugged the unit, etc., to reset, but still nothing. Oh well, we are sure these are not popular units since anywhere on the Internet folks are complaining. I think their should be a class action suit against these folks since I don't think 90% of the users are happy with them - if they can even be users.

Brad, The brochure I have from Best Buy says it is a convection also. As I said I haven't used mine yet, but with all the negative press, I was just checking into it. It doesn't take me long to get rid of a lemon, even if I have to foot the bill. I find it hard to deal with defective equipment. Of course, I am keeping my fingers crossed (well, not really, yet), that I will be one of the few with no problems with the Apollo. Doesn't hurt to be prepared though.......

Phil,
I'm in the same situation you are. I haven't even turned it on yet, but I wan't to be prepared. I'm sure Apollo is standing behind it, but it takes my time to deal with repairs and I would much rather concentrate on vacation.
I was just cruising through the GE page and see several convection models that are close in fit. Some black, some stainless.

I have posted before on this subject but will again...... Our Apollo worked beautifully for 2 years then the 1/2 time mode wouldn't work properly. Since it was out of warranty, we had it repaired and our extended warranty covered everything, a grand total of $346. I have since found the very same oven, new on EBay for $119. Guess what I will do if it quits again?

The Ge model is a convection. Our brand new Apollo has now worked for about two consecutive weeks..a record. We have 4 months left on the 1 year warranty.. after that we will pick up the GE under our extended warranty

WE had problems with our Apollo in that it would quit while working and the clock is the only thing that worked. After reading some post on here, I unplugged it for 5 min (Apollo says it takes 5 min to reset the mother board), plugged it back in and it worked. Well, it did this 4 times. Finally it just up and kicked the bucket. Died. Right there in front of me.
I looked back on here and found Apollo's phone number and the lady's name to call. I did, we exchanged info on what it was doing during it extended sickness. She said she would send me a new one. Got my present address and three days later, I got a new unit from them. I sent the old one back to them as requested. Installed the new one and it is working. After I called her to tell her that we had gotten the unit, she asked me to bill Keystone for the labor and they would pay it. Naw, as nice and helpful as they have been, I couldnt sleep if I did. What a great experience dealing with the Apollo people. I hope everyone has the same success we did.

I also called the Apollo lady, even though our oven is working fine after over two years of fairly heavy use. I wanted to find out if she knew exactly what was causing the failures. While I am sure there is more to it than this, she did say that they needed a full 20 amps of power, and if the supply to the trailer was not good, and the voltage dropped, they would be prone to failure.
I am not naive enough to believe that is the whole answer, but it does point to the need to maintain a good supply of power. It seems that as our units get more and more high tech, the quality of campground power is becoming a bigger issue. Poor connections and extension cords only add to this problem. Just something else to keep in mind when using the Half-time Oven.

Ours[knock on wood] has worked just fine. I replaced the latch release on it is all. I did notice and this might be the problem or some of it that there is a lot of condensation in side after use. I realize that there is a drying cycle on it but still after using it there is moisture still inside and water and circuit boards don't mix. I just leave the door open and let it dry out,5-10 minutes. Just my opinion.
