I have another related problem with installing slide skis. My stove/frig slide has darco fraying on the edge. The slide skis angle up on the end. The inside of my slideout has carpet covering it. To make matters worse, the edge of the slide is about 3 inches from the interior cabinets.
So 2 problems: 1) How to get under the carpet on the interior slide edge?
2) I don't think I can reach the screws on the inside that attach the rain drip piece that needs to be removed on the outside.
Any advice would be appreciated.
p.s. I don't have access to the rig for pictures but I can get them tomorrow.

As far as the carpet not sure needs a picture to see what your dealing with.
As far as the screws you should be able to move the slide in or out to access all screws, you will have to remove maybe a couple screws from inside.

Can not access the screw on the inside, as it is on the side up against the cabinets with about 3-4 inches but the frame extends another inch or so leaving a gap about 2 inches. I can look in from the side above, but can not reach in and even if i did the screwdriver would have to be only 3 inches long. And I wouldn't be able to get any leverage to turn it.
Maybe I can take off the cabinet door and reach in around the frame via the cabinet space!!??!!?

What if you used a 90 degree screwdriver like this

Or something similar

That may work. But I can only get one wrist into this area, so getting any pressure on it while trying to rotate it will be tough. I get the rig tomorrow and will investigate how removing the cabinet door would work. Thanks for suggestions.
Oh, I still need to figure out how to remove the carpet to screw the angled part of a ski to the wood.????

Affinity installed our slide out skies.
I assisted.
To get the outside trim off he moved the slide a few inches to reach the screws covered by the wall. The slide was open about 1/2 way.
The guy had a T made from 2x4 and jacked up the slide about 1" then slide the "Slide out skies" under the slide into place. He ran a very thick bead of sealant along the underside between the ski and the Darco and between the ski and wall under the trim. Then he reinstalled the screws and ran a bead of sealant on the trim piece.
There is a good YouTube video showing how to install them.
