Montana power

I was running the slide outs in on my 2011 5th wheel when there was a loud beep and everything went dead. Had no ac or dc power. Pulled the converter and tested it and it was working. Checked the ac outlet that converter plugs into and showed no power. Jumped the battery and dc power started working again. Still no ac power. Any thoughts? Thank you

2011 Montana but what model do you have? That would help the smart folks here know how many slides you have and what type slides.

Welcome to the forums. More information please. You're plugged into shore power? If so have you check the pedestal breakers? Checked the breakers in your panel? Start with the basics (pedestal) and work forward to determine if its a RV or Park problem.

You need to verify you have AC power to the rig, make sure you have two hot legs at the pedestal and that the breaker is working.
Next, verify the two pole main breaker in the inside panel has power and is on.
Make sure your battery(ies) are good, as it's possible the the battery is bad and you were operating on converter power alone.
If you are not getting power from the battery, check that you have power on both sides of the auto-reset breaker that sends power into the panel from the battery.
These steps should get you working again.

I’m with Bob. Sounds like your battery is down and your 12 vdc was coming from your converter. And when you lost 120 vac power you lost your converter and 12 vdc power. Jumping your battery is giving you 12 vdc power from an external source.

First thing to do is find out why/where you have lost 120 vac power. Then go from there.

Any chance you have a transfer switch in there somewhere?
If you have the generator prep package you may have a transfer switch in there that has failed.

Unless you have an onboard generator, it's highly unlikely that you have a transfer switch.
