Inverter issue

I have a Magnum Dimensions inverter (CSW2012X). The "problem" I have is that the status light stays amber, even when on good shore power. All battery and inverter switches are in the on position. When I turn shore power off the status light stays amber (and display stays green) and voltage drops a bit. This is to be expected. With power off only the inverter outlets work, not all. Again, as expected. When I turn shore power back on the voltage pops up a bit, all outlets now work, but status stays yellow. I believe it should be green. Also, inverter is warm to the touch. Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks as always!

If you can't solve your problem today, call Magnum tomorrow, they are very helpful.

If the status light is green it's inverting. With shore power present it should be amber. If you haven't already I'd disconnect battery and shore power. Wait 10 minuets and reconnect. If this doesn't resolve you problem I'd call customer service.

Also check you programing. See attached docs.

Just for interest I looked at our Magnum inverter. We are hooked up to shore power and the status light (next to the voltage/current display) is green. FYI

Just a quick question…do you have a rig that is pre wired for a generator? If so you may have a bad transfer switch. Try turning both AC units on. Are they coming on?
