Direct Tv portable satellite antenna info.

Anyone know if any portable TV satellite dish makers are making one yet that will receive HD programing with direct tv. In the past all were SD programing. Thanks

All the portable Directv satellite antennas are SD.

My boat has a SD KING VQ4800 Quest Pro Portable Satellite TV Antenna https://www.amazon.com/KING-VQ4800-P...079Z4VN9B?th=1. Fifth wheel trailer has a permanent roof-mounted HD Winegard Traveler DirecTV SWM SK-SWM3 antenna https://winegard.com/directv-swm-tra...0f5eaef56fc2b7. Works very well......highly recommend it.

Thanks for info, I can't use a roof mount a lot of the places I stay have lots of shade trees. I position my dish to work through the limbs.

If you want HD portable tv satellite go with a Dish Tailgater. I used them for years on my fifth wheel trailer.

I have been using this one now for the second year. Website www.tvsatusa.com. It is completely portable and seeks satellites automatically. I have been very pleased with its performance and ease of setup. Takes all of 10 minutes, if I am moving slow. It also uses SWiM technology and I am able to run as many recievers I want. Currently I run 2 hd recievers in my camper. Works great!

Portable dish

I have a dish - pictures attached that I get HD with through direct tv. Takes a little practice to set up but not bad after you’ve done it a few times. About 1 hr with no difficulties.

Unit breaks down into tripod, tube, position head, arm, receiver head and the dish so I find cubby holes around the coach and hardly know it is there

I just bring my receiver from home and an additional room box and have satellite throughout the coach

FYI, Dish Tailgater ONLY receives DISH WESTERN arc satellites.
IF you travel a lot in the north east it can be difficult to get a good line of sight to the western arc satellites. Many times they are in the tree line.
We went to Bar Harbor Maine, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and could only receive a few higher # channels.
If you travel this way much get the
Satellite dish Winegard Pathway X2

Winegard Pathway X2 PA6002R Satellite TV Antenna and DISH Wally Receiver Bundle (Dual Arc, 2 TV Viewing) https://a.co/d/hwXFPJx

It can receive BOTH eastern and western arc Dish satellites.

Yikes! Seahawks! Just kidding. I'm just getting started experimenting but with my winegard gateway and streaming my DTV through my phone so far HD!
