slides won't go in

I have a 2006 Montana Mountaineer 329RLS. Recently I've started having trouble getting the hydraulic slides to retract. They will extend without problem but, I have to "bump" the "out" wall switch multiple times before the motor starts to retract the slides. I have replaced the wall switch which did not solve the problem. Since the motor operates fine extending the slides I leaning toward a bad relay on the hydraulic motor. Any help is appreciated!!

Download the Lippert NOW app from Google play store. Lots of good info, manuals, TSB, troubleshooting etc.
Lippert also has excellent help desk support.

Here is a link to the procedure for testing the hydraulic pump and dual polarity solenoid switch.
I suspect a problem with the switch or relays telling it which way to go.

Step 4 in the link provided by Daryl above will quickly tell you if the solenoid relay is bad. OEM replacement about $100. Much cheaper ones available but I would spend the extra for the original.

Might want to check the switch with a multi meter also.

You also might need to replace the auto reset breaker that feeds power to the reversing switch. I would not recommend installing a larger breaker than is already installed because your wiring will not be that heavy like what is on units with hydraulic leveling, but you might want to install a Bussman style breaker in the same amperage. The hydraulic pump motor draws more amps when operating in reverse, so that will be why retracting the slides is harder than extending them.

I had an '06 329RLS with a similar problem (did you buy my trade in? lol). Out was no problem. In I would hear a click from the nose area and everything stopped. Wait 30 seconds and hear a click, push the button and it starts working again until you hear the next click. Dealer replaced the auto-reset breaker above the battery which solved it. The '06 Mountaineers had a one-switch sequential hydraulic geared slide mechanism, bedroom first, then off-side, then camp side, no override valves.

Check the connections on the solenoid for corrosion. If one of the larger connections feel warm after operation or non operation, this is likely the issue.
