Slideout floor mat
Montana 2121. Slideouts come in. Floor mat rolls up against kitchen island causing wear in the mat and on kitchen island. Anyone experiencing similar issue? Apprecite. Retired in NC

My dining slide has carpet. Same here. The edge of the carpet extends into the island and crinkles up. Over time, I'm sure it will wear out the backing on the carpet and it has already rubbed the finish off the island down low where it hits.

Welcome to the forums.
I assume you meant 2021. I have a 2022 and the kitchen slide does that. It's been out 12 times since February and no problem yet. I estimate the slide has been run 35 times.

2019 my carpet edges by slides are all frayed... Frequently in and out showing noticeable wear

Maybe the reason they moved away from carpet. The 2022 has woven mat. Most likely wears better.

our 2021 3121RL has the woven vinyl and it is wearing much faster than the carpet that was in our 2019 model. I have already had to re-stain the bottom of the island on the dining side. I have added clear plastic corner protectors to the island. Notice yesterday the woven vinyl is flat and shinny on the top side and the padded backing has worn through just where it touches the island. Thinking to trial foam to protect the woven mat and the island.

Can you take a picture? I curious to see. I'm wondering if your mat is wider then mine. Does yours stick out farther then this? I noticed in my model they no longer have the mat under the kitchen slide.

Our 2020 Montana has a woven mat and fits very well without wear. Glad Montana replaced the carpet with this material after having carpet there for 16 years on earlier models.

I have a 2020 3781 and when closing the slide I use my foot to flip the front edge up just before it contacts the island. I’ve had no wear or issues at all over the two years doing that.

I have not noticed any wear on my slide carpets. I probably stop and put slides out over 50 times a year for 9 years now. Maybe Keystone has just gone cheaper and cheaper thru the years.?????

Same problem here. The carpet had two holes were it touch the island. Dealer said that problem was unknown at Keystone. Dealer service dept cut the a little piece of the inner part of the slide to fit with the two corners of the island, and patched the two holes. Job is ok but the carpet will never look good. Happy to know I am not the only one like keystone and dealer said.

Since I use my iphone app to bring the slides in, I always grab the vinyl material on the slide and bend it
Up so it just lays against the island as the slide comes in until it touches the island. Works like a charm.
