IMHO, the perfect pick up combo would be a Cummins and an Allison.

^^^^^ NO DOUBT!!! Alas I gave up on that pipe dream. Now that we have our set up finalized, Ram will likely change to the Allison in 2024. Oh well...

In these new 2023 F350s, which rear end would you like?
The 355 gears or the 410?

3.55, there will be plenty of power/torque and the fuel mileage is bad enough already.

With the new 10 speed tranny you get a much lower 1st and 2nd gear, so you don't need the 3.73 or 4.10 to get your off the line torque.

Don’t expect your Ford soon…I ordered an F450 last November, and I still do not even have a production date. In 2 weeks it will be ONE YEAR since ordering.

Good luck!

Bummer. I ordered my 450 Limited in March. The build is currently scheduled for the week of Nov 14th. (Will they hit this? Who knows.)

I ordered a F350 in November 2021 took delivery on Aug 2022.
It was difficult to wait but happy with the truck.
I have the 3:55 gears and am satisfied loaded and unloaded.
A good balance the 10 Speed tranny has been good so far..
Just back to Calif from Rocky Mountain NP..
many 12000 foot mountain passes with no issues.

1. Mount Evans Scenic Byway, Colorado, 14,160 ft.
2. Pikes Peak Highway, Colorado, 14,115 ft.
3. Trail Ridge Road, Colorado, 12,201 ft.
4. Cottonwood Pass, Colorado, 12,126 ft.
5. Independence Pass, Colorado, 12,112 ft.
6. Loveland Pass, Colorado, 11,992 ft.

I once drove the Pikes Peak Highway in the truck of my signature and thought it was totally sick for lack of power. Can't imagine what a 6.7 diesel would be like but I sure think the turbo would be working overtime.
