Hydraulic slides moving out on their own
We have a 2017 3790RD 5th wheell that we purchased May of last year. We are having problems with the dining side hydraulic slideout coming out on its own, whether it is sitting closed up or when we are driving down the road. Quite a nuisance while driving cuz we have to stop all the time to bring it back in. We have tried many different things to try to get it to stop coming out. Shut off both hydraulic slides, shut off one, leave them all on but nothing seems to work. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? We currently have the trailer in the dealership getting looked at since it is still under warranty. Hopefully they will fix the problem.

Other folks on this forum who experienced same issue indicated the fix was replacement of a valve within the hydraulics designed to prevent that.

I had this issue and ended up getting a hydraulic They pressure test the hydraulic system and if the pressure drops by more than a certain amount, theres a leak and they have to find it. For the slide creep, it is typically a bad seal on the hydraulic ram.

I bought a new Mountaineer in 2014 (2013 model). Went to the Rally in Goshen and had Tiara look at it, but they didn't have the right equipment. But they scheduled me in to Lippert the next morning at 7 a.m. Lippert just replaced the 2 big cylinders - told me it is usually the big ones that are bad. I am not sure they even checked to see. But mostly good - still creeped out on the way home but not much. Then dealer just cycled the slides in and out 8-10 times to get rid of any air in the lines and has worked fine up to this point (3 1/2 years).
Sooo. What is the warranty these days? If still covered in late summer, go to the rally and see if they can get them fixed. Well on second thought you probably want it fixed before then. Oh well. Good luck.
