Screen Door Not Latching

On my 3931fb, the screen door works fine with main entry door, but when wanting to only use screen door, it will not latch closed. I looked and cannot find an adjustment 5o fix it. I took the latch from the door frame and added a spacer which worked but then the entry door would not close due to door hitting 5he latch. The spring loaded striker just isn’t long enough to catch on the door frame latch. This is a newly bought trailer brand new and should have been right but understand good old American worker quality has gone away. I removed the mechanism but see no adjustment method. Anyone else? It is a Lippard part but looks like incorrect part for my door? Photo makes it look like it his hitting but actually about 1/4” from striking the catch.

My screen door looks different than yours. My OEM latch "body" cracked and quit working October 2021. Went to a local RV parts store and bought one (~$25) that looked identical - but I could not make it fit and work like the OEM. I damaged the new latch while trying to "beat to fit". Went back to the RV store and bought a different latch (another $25). I made it "work" with some exceptions. The plunger hits the door jamb perfectly (bottom photo), and I can manually lower the handle and clip it into the holder that keeps it attached to the door - but it will not latch to the clip like it used to work. You can see other screw holes where my old clip was located. Basically - I treat the screen door and main door like a queen on a throne and everything works good enough.
