Lippert Hydraulic Motor
First I would like to thank all the forum for access to all the valuable info that is posted here, and now it is my turn to contribute. I recently was on vacation in Hilton Head and has a problem with my hydraulic system on my 2021 Montana 3120rl, nothing would work. After literally hours of conversation with Lippert techs and changing out every part in the system (except the motor) and checking all electrical voltages (which all checked out) I decided to operate everything manually until I got back home and research further. When I got back I isolated the motor and put power to it and got nothing. I then pulled the motor out, put it on my work bench and broke it down. Everything looked fine, brand new why not right. I then noticed the brushes that connect to the commentator, they were so tight in their slots that the spring would not push the brushes out to reach the commentator for the electrical connection to the stator. Solution.....carefully remove each brush and lightly sand down both sides and pressure test each brush with the old finger to be sure they were totally free and would contact commentator when everything was back together. Result....SUCCESS!! $$$$ Back in my pocket, not there"s. I do hope this helps those who have come across this problem.
