Need Campground Recommendations?

We just found out my wife has a business meeting in Newark, Delaware on May 23 and 24. Her company usually flies every one into these meetings and puts them up in motels and provides transportation from the airport, motel, and the meeting site. It's been about 3 years since her company has done such a meeting (for obvious reasons), but looks like things are finally loosing up (if you know what I mean).

Anyway, she absolutely does not want to fly. Considering I'm retired, we thought this might be an opportunity to simply pack-up the Monte and head to Delaware.

OK, I did a little bit of Google searching and there are some campgrounds around that area. But, before making any definite plans, we'd need to reserve a campsite first. I know this is already late in the year and finding something will probably be next to impossible, but we'll explore the options (not taking the camper and using the company sponsored motel ... OH UGGG!) and just driving the small Chevy Colorado instead of dragging the camper. So, we do have a back-up idea.

But, I would greatly appreciate anyone who is familiar with that area what your thoughts are on the local campgrounds? What's your suggestions? Any to stay completely away from?
