GE refrigerator Ice Maker

I have a GE frig in my Montana 3231ck fifth wheel. rather than blow the lines to the ice maker for winterizing or putting antifreeze into the ice maker, can I shut off the water supply under my sink and drain the water from the line under the camper?

Assuming it's like mine, there is a low point drain under the kitchen slide for the ice maker line. If you drain it and leave it open, that should do it. Since my fridge is in the slide out, there's also a flexible line attached under the slide. Make sure you disconnect and drain it as well.
I replumbed my fridge inside to use bottled water as we don't drink CG water at all, so those lines are empty on my rig. Just turned the valve off under the sink that feeds the ice maker and hooked a bottled water pump directly to the fridge inside under the cabinet.

I have a GE refrigerator with the ice maker in our 2021 331RL. We just de-winterized and I can’t get any ice from the ice maker. The shutoff valve is on and I see no leaks.
Thoughts?

At the risk of stating something obvious that you may have already tried:
1- are you getting water from the water dispenser inside the fridge on the left side? Depending on how you winterized, the filter and coil of tubing in the back left of the fridge may have air in it
2- is the filter secure (ie twisted and seated)?
3- is the Ice Maker switch set to on? Try turning if off, then back to on and make sure the "paddle" that indicates a full tray is not stuck

And be patient, it may take an hour or so before you see anything as there may be air in the line inside the freezer section that won't clear until it tries to make ice.
Keep us posted please!! I have the same fridge and winterized ours by blowing all the water out with air.

We do not have the door water dispenser in our door. We have tried moving the switch on the ice maker back and forth. The paddle is level. I’m not sure what position it should be in for normal operation.
We arrived yesterday and it has been on for almost 24 hours.

Chief, we don't have a water dispenser in the door either. Our water dispenser is INSIDE the fridge on the left side. Small indentation with a grey button and a small tube. Press the grey button to let the water flow. Caution, it will spit at you if there's a lot of air in the line.

I've attached a pic from the GE manual that came with our fridge, page 5.
Our 2022 came with GE Model GWE19J with the two French Doors and bottom freezer. It wouldn't surprise me if yours is a different model, but that water dispenser is easy to overlook if no one told you it's there.

Regarding the ice maker paddle, level and straight out is where ours is when it's on. There is also a small green light on the left side of the ice maker that should be on as well.

Chief, The procedure below for the GE fridge is how we purge it of water in the fall and purge it of air in the spring. Hope it helps, good luck.
