Need to Replace The Skylight Exterior Dome for 2016 3160 RL

As they say, “it doesn’t rain in Southern California” but this weekend it did while we were at Dos Picos campground in San Diego County. This morning we woke up a audible drip coming from our shower skylight. I removed the inner dome and discovered a crack in our exterior dome that sits on the roof. (We had our vent and skylight chalking all replaced last month, so that is not my problem.)

The exterior skylight dome measures 18” X 33” on our rig. I checked Trekwood’s online store but they only show skylight domes for 2010 Montanas and older models. Plus, those skylight domes are a smaller dimension then what we have on our 2016.

Does anyone have a source for a replacement exterior skylight dome?

Not sure where they measure these domes, but this is probably the one you are looking for.

Bob, That is probably the correct size. They must be measuring the inner dimension of the dome. The outer edge to edge dimension is 18 X 34. When I signed into Trekwood this morning all I could find was skylights for older model Montana’s not a 2016. Thanks for the help!

I hate to say this about Trekwood, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Called, their 866 number which is automated. Reached their Parts department. No one picked up the phone so I left a detailed message with my contact information. Their automated system said I would receive a response in 2 business days. It has now been 4 days with no call back. I also sent an email using their “Contact Us” on their web-page, I sent a detailed request to their parts department this also this past Monday. Today is Friday - no response once again. I guess they don’t want my business.

I was finally able to talk with a parts/sales rep at Trekwood. To clarify, their website shows the roof opening size, not the outer dimension of the skylight. Thus the difference between 14.5” X 30.5” versus my actual outer skylight dimension for 18” X 33”. Cost for the skylight was $100.66 with $35 shipping. I placed my order today.

The 14.5x30.5 is the opening measurement. Let me know if you would like to order. thank you
