Over the range microwave convection oven combo

I am new to this site. I have 2010 Montana 2850 RL. I am looking for assistance with finding a combo oven for above the range. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!

We replaced our HighPointe microwave/Convection oven with Whirlpool model WMH31017HZ04. This one is a microwave only.
We never used the convection oven function of the HighPointe so we didn't see any point in getting one with that feature.
We had to remove the top row of tile behind the cooktop to get it to fit. Also had to cut the vent opening down a bit and mount the new rear mounting bracket. We used leveling blocks to sit the microwave on while we did the fitting and trimming.
Not a hard job, but time consuming.

Welcome to the forum! We replaced ours with a Sharp we found on Amazon. Fit the space perfectly (measured before ordering) and we love it.

We also replaced our combo unit with a microwave only unit. We purchased a new one from Best Buy last year and are very happy with it. Another benefit of the microwave only unit is that it has a higher watt rating.

We had the option of Drawers vs an Oven, so our Convection/Microwave is our only Oven.

If your RV didn't come with a microwave, then there is likely no structure to support it. If it did then it's a simple job to replace as we did when the factory unit died. It appears to me there are only a few 'sizes' so I measured and went to the store. Simply re-used the old mounting points.

Mine went out, so I've been looking for a replacement.
Cheap they aren't, and finding them in stock when they are sale priced has been impossible.
Wish I could give you a better reply.

We still have not replaced our unit we posted about for our 3121rl. We did get an unusual post offering to sell us one as somehow that person received two. I did not respond to the post as it was the first and only by that person. Beware scams…..
I do have a trusted repairman (person?) doing a search and is going to buy one and replace it before we return to the US this spring.

I must confess we have a relative in the business, so we got a demo model from the back room with full warrantee. It's not about what you know, it's who you know. Good luck.

For our 05 Montana we purchased our THIRD Convection Microwave from RVupgrades in Aug this year, a A Highpoint with Trim Kit.
Sadly the Trim Kit (Steel Frame) was slightly bent in shipping but worked okay - albeit the provided 6 screws were woefully inadequate so I reused the longer screws from the previous trim kits..
Even worse, the Oven Door opening Button failed after 3 days!
They were good enough to offer to send a new one or a Refund.
Why would I want another one that could fail so easily???
I took the Refund and we use a thin aluminum "knive" to push up the Door Latches as the button does release slightly but not enough to open the Oven...
We much prefer Ovens with Handle versus Buttons, but in this case we had no choice considering what would fit in our legacy cupboard.
I notice currently RVupgrades is out of stock of these.

We have a 2013 3100RL. Original combo unit went bad. Replaced with Frigidare combo Microwave/Convection unit Model: FGMV155CTF. Had the same measurements and fit perfectly including external vent alignment.

Verify measurement of your existing for what ever you purchase.

I repaired mine once. The logic board was $95 if I remember right.
At this point, I figured I'd put the $200+ in parts it will take to fix towards a new one.

Our Highpoint just stopped working suddenly after 1 1/2 years. dealer supplied a replacement under our forever warranty and didn't want the old one back. I set it out at the curb and some one took it. I later discovered in this forum that they have an internal fuse and that is likely all that was wrong with it. I hope whoever picked it up knew that. The reason I installed it is another story.

I would have preferred something other than a Highpoint. If this one goes I will replace with a different brand.
