Factory Defect

About two months ago we purchased a Montana Model: 3813MS 5th Wheel Trailer. When we arrived home I waxed the RV and noticed (2) small cracks, located on the back of the trailer where the auxiliary hitch (Electrical Plug) is located. It appears that when this RV was manufactured the person responsible for mounting the electrical plug ran (2) small screws two close it the edge of trailer causing (2) cracks in the (maybe 1/2”) in the rear of the trailer.

I called the RV dealership and made an appointment to bring it in for warranty service. I was told this would be a major repair because of potential water seeping into the trailer, the repairs would take a couple days.

The dealership has been great so far, just waiting on Keystone to give final approval for the warranty.

People might want to check the back (Bottem/Center) for potential cracks due to mounting screws.
