Awning Fabric Replacement Recommendations

Hello fellow travelers,

The time has come to replace the worn out fabric on our Dometic awning. What recommendations do you all have as far as manufacturers and quality. We have a 2016 3790RD for reference. Thank you.

Type “awning fabric replacement” into that google search box above and several past threads will come up.

Sunbrella is the best there is. Boaters use it for covers and tops that are in the weather 24/7.

We used Tough Top awnings as their fabric is thicker. Great customer shervice and quick shipping also!

Make sure if you have the led light strip in the same channel you get the awning with a smaller spline, because it will not fit, trust me just did mine 2 weeks ago and had to get a new led strip

How hard is it to replace the awning fabric and what does it entail?

It was not that hard after I figured out that the led strip had to be removed, at least one other person to help I had two and it would have probably taken an hour at the most. Make sure you tie wrap the arms and pin the spring in the roller, plenty of videos on you tube.
