New Batteries
Among all the other maintenance I've completed on my rig over the last month and a half, my 2 group 24 12 VDC batteries that the dealer installed when I purchased the rig gave out, but I got almost 4 years out of them...
I decided to go with a pair of group 31 Duracell 105 AH deep cycle batteries. Had to change out one of my two battery boxes to fit the group 31's. Hoping I get at least 2 to 3 years out of these. Question, Other than leaving the RV connected to AC what if anything should I be doing to maintain the new batteries? thanks in advance for your input...

Hello,
One of the things I did not do when we had lead batteries was monitor them to make sure they didn't go below 50% SOC. Make sure the water is at the correct levels. We ours didn't hold a charge any longer, we replaced it with Battle Born batteries.

If those Duracells are AGM batteries, they don't need topping up with water.

I don't believe my batteries are AGM. They are, "SLI31MDC" from Batteries Plus.

OK, found it. This battery should last much longer than a few years as long as you maintain the water level in them. https://www.batteriesplus.com/produc...HRfc2VhcmNoaAE

My last AGMs lasted nearly eight years, plugged in 24/7...when not on the road.
