Replace Water Pump with a Quieter Model?

Looking to replace my water heater for a quieter model. Anyone ever done this? Any video links you used? Thanks

Not sure your water heater should really make any noise, at least not enough that would cause you to need to look for a quieter one.
If you meant water "PUMP", then there are several ways to help quiet your existing pump that might help. In the end, most methods provide varying degrees of success. I've found I just got used to hearing it and now I look at it as a reassurance that I don't have a leak. No noise when there shouldn't be.

A couple of things. I consolidated two of TripleP's original Posts into one common Thread. Per the Community Rules we prefer only one Post about a question/issue so that all the answers will be in one place. This really helps the responders and makes it easier for future readers.

Second, I am not sure if you are referring to water PUMP or HEATER. The original Posts were all in Threads related to water PUMP, but the text of each Post refers to water HEATERS. As RMcNeil asked, which is it? If it is HEATER, I can change the title of the Thread to reflect it.

Water pump

I put a 1/4” silicone pad under the feet of the pump and it made a huge difference. Assuming you are talking water pump

I installed a 2 gallon pressure tank right on the output of the pump with a tee, it reduced the pulsation dramatically and the pump doesn't run nearly as much.
