We have have two thermostats one in the livingroom and one in the bedroom. Can anyone tell me what each thermostat operates. Can the bedroom thermo control the furnace and bedroom air

Typically the bedroom TStat operates only the bedroom AC. The living room TStat will operate the LR AC/Heatpump and propane furnace

Typically, if Dometic, the one in the living room controls the rear air conditioner, heat pump and furnace.
The bedroom thermostat controls the bedroom air conditioner. The forward one is an air conditioner only, no heat pump. Even though the thermostat says furnace etc. it only has air conditioning function.
Both thermostats are identical and interchangeable. Good thing for troubleshooting.

Make sure the fan is in "Auto" mode for proper functions.

The reason I ask is the ac board has furnace wire connections on it. We had a surge and had to replace the board but did not know why furnace connections are on the board

Interesting. Now you made me go dig out my pictures of when I installed a SoftStartRV on the front AC unit. AND I found a picture that shows the same connection (must really zoom in to read it). Mine has two blue wires coming out of it. No idea where they go. The schematic doesn't show where they go either.
(Sorry it's upside down).

If memory serves, the two AC units on my 3791RD are identical, with the exception that the rear has the heat pump controls in it. That board is likely interchangeable as are the thermostats.

Thanks for the response. I was thinking that too, but I recently had to replace both air conditioner motherboards and came to find out they were both different. I had to order a different board for the front air conditioner this board didn’t have a temperature a j4 outdoor sensor connection on it
