Insect Screens for Norcold Refrigerator Vent

I have two vented covers for my 12 gallon Norcold RV refrigerator (see photo). The dealer had insect screens for the long vents on the right side, but could not find anything that is the exact length (6 1/2”) for the short vents on the left side. Is it possible the covers are for a different brand refrigerator? Any recommendation for a source?

Bug screens are fine but be advised that Norcolds mounted in slideouts often experience cooling problems. Many times it is due to poor air circulation behind the fridge. The issue can be found in a forum search. Adding screens may or may not affect the cooling ability of your particular unit. Just something to be aware of.

Ours have always been screened in all of our Monty's without a problem. When I couldn't get ones that fit, I'd just buy the 20" set of three from Amazon for $10 and cut them to fit.

I’ve made my own also. I put a small bead of silicone around the outside edge and press the screen into it. Cheap, easy and works.

I used nylon window screen. Cut to fit then hot glue to the inside of each slit.

Check your drip tube

Mine had the screens installed and they move the drip tube inside with no pan to catch the water. I had to cut a small hole in one of the screens and move the tube back outside.
