Morryde suspension question ?
Has anyone had a morryde suspension system installed on their Montana rig? If so, wondering if you find it beneficial and worth the cost

I think you will find this question has been asked quite a bit on the forum. I don’t think I have ever seen a thread from someone that has regretted having IS installed.

Are you talking about an SRE3000 or 4000 system or an LRE 4000 system? Equa-flex makes a similar setup as well. I've installed a couple of those and they do make a bit of difference.

I just bought a 2016 Montana 3911 FB and it has the Morryde LRE/4100 and I have no idea what that means. LOL
It has Montana on the name plate, is it an option from the factory or something?

Typically standard equipment on a legacy model.

They make many products your PIN box is one of them. I'm not aware of any Montana that comes from the factory with the independent suspension. Maybe special ordered with the Legacy package

IS is independent suspension by MorRyde. It is an add-on. We have had it on two of our Montana’s now. Obviously, since we put it on twice, we felt it is worth it. Read about all the broken springs, the spring hangers, bolt issues, etc. Living in the mountains of Colorado and doing a lot of back country boondocking it is great in our opinion. Countless stories of people leaving things on the counter and still there when they got in. Like was said earlier, I have never heard anyone say they wish they hadn’t done it.

I wouldn't own an RV without IS installed. It's made a radical difference in the ride.

Here's what I know about RV suspension: Stock OEM gives approx 2" of suspension travel, MOR/Ryde 3000 gives 3", MOR/Ryde 4000 gives 4", while the MOR/Ryde IS gives 5 plus inches of travel along with, as the name implies, Independent movement of each wheel. That's what I know, take it or ignore it.

I can not get my wet bolts to take grease. It’s had the first 3000 miles on it and I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get these bolts to accept a shot of grease.

Brad,
Have you jacked the trailer to take the load off the bolts? Often required to get them to take grease.
In the future, please start a new thread with new issues.

All I can tell you is we had the is installed in June of 20. I placed an empty plastic cup on the counter upside down and drove 800 miles and it was still on the counter when I got there.

Moryde IS
In short, I will let you know in 7 days. I’m on my way to Elkhart now to have the IS/Disc brakes installed. I’ve talked to at least 5 others in person in addition to the numerous posts who said they had no regrets. I want the braking improvement primarily but decided to go with the IS also. My install appointment is this Thursday. There is a good U tube video on RV life that shows before and after

Tree Top Turkeys, you will find lots of posts in the search, but there can be several reasons. If the grease holes are pointing down, weight keeps them from taking grease. Jack the trailer up and take the weight off and they should take grease. Occasionally, a wet bolt will not take grease because the holes weren’t drilled all the way through. I would try jacking it up first.

Just make sure they do the alignment right, mine was all FUBAR, but they bought me a new set of tires.
