Water odor

The hot water at lavatory has a bad smell, all other faucets are ok. Anyone have a fix?

If not the water itself, it could be coming from gray tank. There is a check valve under sink that can get stuck. Common problem on all newer RV's.

If you have washer hookups and no washer, those lines need flushed to get rid of stagnant water in them.

Yep Bingo has something there .when I first bought my old 2012 Monty I got that smell as well and like Bingo said it was stagnant water in the washer lines so I took a hose and connected to each line and ran it for a few seconds outside and never smelled it again

Actually odor from the hot water is not uncommon. But normally from all hot water faucets. Google rv hot water odor brings lot of info including this one.

Thanks for the "flushing" idea. I need to do that before we have an issue.
Thanks Bingo

I don't need to remember to flush them anymore.

I disconnected the hot and cold lines that go the W&D behind the basement wall and capped them off with Flair-It RV PEX caps. Did it several years ago.

http://flairit.com/productByCat.php?pcid=6&p=0

Left all of the lines in place and easy to re-connect if needed.

No more stink, no more remembering to flush out the lines, no extra maintenance necessary.
