Stove lighter button

So the wife and I went to light the stove and the button on the stove no longer clicks and will not light.

Brand new rig!! What the hell!

Any advice?

A temp fix is just use a candle lighter thing that you click and it lights.

If the stove doesn't even click, I think you need a new part. If it clicks but doesn't light, then the wire that leads to the burners may just need to be moved a little as it moved when you hit a bump, probably .

Yes, it's mechanical and sometimes things fail sooner then they should. Dometic, Suburban or one of their companies most likely made that stove, not Keystone. You can spend your time and fuel and let the dealer install another under warranty or you can, as most of us would, buy and install a replacement for 15-18 dollars and a few minutes time.

Use a hand held or match until such time as the failed one is replaced.

My advice is get prepared. A new rig will have plenty of issues in short order. Some you may want the dealer to fix, others you will do yourself even though it may be under warranty. Not to be a negative nellie but just the way it is. Enjoy the rig and make the best of it.

Thanks for all the replies.

Yes, I am tracking lighting by a another fire source. We had to do that last night.

Tracking on that new rigs have issues, just really frustrating that this industry, to be frank is not set up for customer service post sale. They know its a real pain to pull a trailer of 5th Wheel into an RV dealer and the customer is stuck hiring a professional or fix it themselves.

It sounds like your piezoelectric snap switch may be bad, but I found the wires on the Atwood stoves are so cheap and the insulation cracks, which then shorts to the stove instead of igniting the burner. Bought new wires (much heavier) on Amazon. Easy to replace and improved the ignition. And then changed the stove to a Furrion. So much better then original and the DW likes it because the oven works without burning stuff - Good luck!
