I not positive but the Montana's didn't get grill connections until 2020 or 2021.

A Propane "Y" can be purchased on Amazon along with hose extensions to run right off the tank

I bought a 12' hose. Connects directly to the tank and to my Coleman road trip 285 grill.

Your problem will be the regulator. It would be much easier to use the "Y" off the tank option. Any propane quick connect on the rig would have connection that is already regulated, so you would need to remove the regulator for your grill. I modified our old Coleman Road Trip when we had a SOB TT. Gave it to my daughter when I got the Montana. I just carry a 20# tank now for the grill and Blackstone.

My 19 MHC 331Rl, has a quick connect un the door side under the door to the right. Everyone is correct about the regulator. You need a grill that you can take the regulator off.

I just put a quick connect on our 2016 3160rl to use with the Camp Chef Explorer 2-Burner Deluxe Combo Stove. It works great my propane dealer suggested not to go any longer than 12 ft extension hose or you lose volume, so had him make up a custom hose. $20 with both ends.

Question on this subject. I have a black stone flat top and was thinking of doing a very similar set with a "y" off my main tanks. But I read (somewhere) that I either need to add a regulator, or remove one. I am not a gas person, but could use some advice from those that are. Right now I am using the little propane bottles and was just trying to do away with these if possible.

I have a blackstone 22. put the quick adapter on and it works great. Also my MHC 331RL has an external adapter already installed. It is under the coach below the main door to the right a bit

Your issue is your rv is a low pressure system so you will need a Y connector at your tank connection, in front of the regulator on your rig. Then you will need an extension hose. I use a separate 20 lb. bottle with a Coleman propane tower. I run my grill and two gas lantern off that bottle. I like the fact it is portable as camp site layouts differ and I can locate everything in what I find to be the best, most convenient area of the site. I also carry some 1 lb. bottles if I want something quick and easy. I had a “group” grill out with a couple friends and ran two grills and three lanterns off that tank with some extension hoses and one Y adapter. We had plenty of gas and pressure. One tip if you use an 8 or 12 foot extension hose. Turn off the tank before you turn off any appliances as they need to burn off the gas and pressure left in the hoses before you disconnect any hoses. You can find yourself in a bad situation if you don’t.

I used a "T" to connect a 3 foot hose between the door side propane tank and the crossover regulator. That hose has a QD connector at the bottom. I have a second hose with a mating QD on one end and a threaded fitting that replicates the top of disposable propane bottle. My small Weber grill works well in this arrangement.

If you come off your tank directly, you will still need to use the regulator with your Blackstone. If you come off the gas line some where on the rig past the regulator, you will need to remove the Blackstone regulator as the gas will already be low pressure. You can purchase an adapter to go from the 1lb bottle to a normal 20lb tank. Here's one I found on a quick Amazon search.
