Keyless lock

Has anyone replaced a keyed door lock with a keyless lock in 2018 Montana High Country 5th wheel? Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

I just added this one from RV Lock to my trailer a couple of weeks ago. Easy to install and works great.

I found mine on Amazon. There are a couple of choices. Seems like there is one for motor homes and one for trailer doors. Happy with one I bought. Fits nice.

We replaced ours with one from RV Lock on a 2019 MHC. We like it so far.

I bought one - have not installed it yet, but it looks like an easy job.

The one we got gave the size of cutout in your door required for it to fit. Ours works pretty good but the inside handle is awfully short for your fingers to fit comfortably. It's much shallower than original handle.

Best, first upgrade we did was installing that remote door lock.

Bev, check first to make sure it will fit your door. A few years back, there were some High Country doors the RV Lock did not fit. You can do a search and find some posts. We have had one on our last three Montana’s and love the convenience.

I’ve install two on our Montana. The first I bought on Facebook at a price that was too good to believe. Sure enough it was a knockoff and never really worked right when I call customer service, no response…. Decided to go ahead and order the real McCoy, RV lock with Lions Head and installed with no issue. Works great!

Yes, I saw the knock offs on ebay and decided to stay with RV Lock. The potential aggravation and lack of support turns me off.

I put a Baur on my 2020 MHC 331RL, real easy. Digital keypad, and BlueTooth so you can open/close using your phone.

We installed a Latch IT last summer. It works great. The folks at Latch It are very responsive. It's a little cheaper than the RV Lock and comes with two remotes. So far we love it.

We have used the RV Lock for quite a while. They work very well, but the quality leaves something to be desired. On all three that we have purchased, the covering on the keypad has failed.

Just curious here - do they have batteries in them? I assume so, then if the battery dies, is there a key to open the door?
