3120 Kitchen Blind Removal

2021 3120. The metal horizontal blinds in the oval kitchen window are stuck in the full up position. I believe that I will have to remove them to access the interior.

However, I cannot figure out how they are mounted. Any idea how to get it down?

They are held on with square head screws. First, get a long square drive drill driver (mine is 6” long) to remove the valance. Then you have access to the screws that hold it in from the sides. Good luck.

Thanks. I suspected that would be the issue. There is actually a clip there that looks like it might be a generic part that might be used in a different model-that did not appear to actually connected to anything. That is what I was trying to rule out.

There are clips, but is much easier to get the shade off with the valance removed.

On our 3121 there are 2 short screws that go up into the top of the valance. After removing those and the valance I was able to find the clips were not used for the blind and it was screwed to the wall with 2 more screws thru the back flange of the blind head/body. A little tough to get the driver in over the front flange but doable. Just FYI - you'll find grease on the back of the blind head (between head and wall).
