Cooper AT3 XLT
Any thoughts on these tires , thought I would try a set of Coopers . Toyo's treated pretty well, although thought I would get a bit more mileage than I did. After two sets of tires on this 2014 Ram , it s seems it's a bit tough on tires then other trucks I have had . OE's were done at 28K , These Toyo's are nearly done at 35K
I rotated both sets religiously at 5K. Both sets wore down very evenly on all four .

I have run Toyo AT series tires for many years but I was just not happy with the mileage and tread life I was getting with the Toyos.. about 28 to 30K was all I could get.. I still wasnt down to wear indicators but I am picky with my tires..
I spoke with the local Les Schwab tire store I have bought from for the last 30 years and decided to try a set of the Cooper Back Country HT series tires at their suggestion..
They know I am hauling a fifth wheel and that I also make trips into the forest up here in Idaho a lot on forest roads..
After two years if use I gotta say that I really like the HT series from Cooper.. They are not quite as an aggressive tread pattern as the Toyo AT series bit have done great towing, driving on ice and in snow..
I also had to tow the Aline last year coming our of Montana on US20 with about 4 inches of snow for 5 miles or so.. The 2007 GMC truck handled well towing in the unexpected snow hauling the fifth wheel.. I was in 4WD High at about 30 mph for about five miles till the snow cleared off.
No issues with traction, etc
Might wanna take a look at these as an alternative.. On my third year with these tires and they won't need replacing this year..

I did a lot of research for replacement tires.
My only other choice was Yokohama due to the previous longevity for wear on a different truck..
I hunted high and low around here for them locally. I ended up at simpletire.com for them.
I also got a veterans discount from simple tire and free shipping. Great tire for the price. I only have about 13000 mi on them. So Far I am very happy. I was concerned about the road noise. I can't detect any so far. Handling in the rain is much better than stock Bridgestone. Aggressiveness is great in the snow. Handling is great also. I have no complaints so far. And MADE IN THE USA!
I went with the next size up. I lost about a MPH on the speedo so This was expected.

Cooper AT 3 XLT
I just put a set of these on my 2019 Chevy 3500 SRW. ONLY HAVE ABOUT 2000 miles so far but they seem to run very quiet for a fairly aggressive tire. Much better traction than my OEM BF Goodrich tires..

Rams are tough on tires. My Michelins are doing as well as can be expected. I know two tire shop owners that sell Coopers. One says buy Coopers, the other says don't buy them.

Same truck as you 2014 3500 Megacab. I have heard more good then bad about the Coopers , it seems there isn't a tire that doesn't make someone unhappy .

I have always liked Coopers and have had a set of them on my RAM for over 3 years and about 15k miles. They’re doing well.

They have being that as far as hard to balance, discount tire haven't had that problem but I will say that they do pick up rocks when I go to pick up my 5th wheel down a little dirt road I have to stop every time to pick them out of the treads.

They balanced up well, I mentioned it to the guy doing the work, and he said most of the issues he sees are with aftermarket wheels , most stock OE wheels are usually no problem .
I don’t expect to see anymore rocks in them then my set of Toyo’s I just replaced , same 5 rib tread pattern .

Just replaced the Firestone HTs on my 2015 Ram with 34,000 miles for the Yokohama G105 AT . Like them so far & not hearing any whine or road noise . Just hope they last longer than 34,000 miles

coopers are good tires, our local Farm & Fleet carries them, put them on many vehicles over the years, always got 60 to 70k out of them

Check out reviews for Michelin Defender and how there made. I think I am going to replace my factory Goodyear Wranglers SA with them. May be a while though because I have 35 thousand miles on them and I think they are good for another 20. Time will tell.

I am a fan of the Sailun tire ,run them on my fifth wheel.
Had a friend run the Sailun AT's on his truck, he said they were wearing very fast.
I considered them ,but for what little savings ,and have to believe Coopers are the better tire . And the real bonus is the Cooper is made in the US. IMO there is no real good choice for a better RV tire than Sailun, but just not true as far as truck tires go, no need to be buying Chinese.
