I understand. It took me 10 years after last kid moved out to get that cover.

There are several companys in Arkansas that manufacture and install steel rv covers. Google metal carports you will find several. I actually have two for boat and 5th wheel storage. They are very sturdy and easy to install. They have there own installers deliver them and about three hours after arrival there done. They are reasonable priced.

Spent several years in Kansas with no cover before we went full time. Rig had no damage or problems. A friend covered his and had issues such as damage to the clear coat and broken drain extensions. Covers may be fine where there is little or no wind, but if it's windy something is going to give.

So most people think that storing with no cover is better then using a fabric cover. Do you think the cover hurts the paint and decals?

My last camper was covered for 14 years in Maryland. No damage from cover and paint looked great. Was covered with a Classic Accessories Over Drive PolyPRO3 Deluxe Travel Trailer Cover. It lasted the 14 years being used every winter.

New trailer 3121RL delivered October of 2018. Part of the deal was a Camco cover. Literally fell apart first winter, gray fabric became see thru then fell off trailer. Camco replaced under warranty but I did not use last winter, installed this October. Gray fabric has wear spots right out of the box which I have patched. Hopefully it last this winter.

Look at car covers, we just got one for our 3761FL. Looks and fits great, only issue is zippers are not in the right location for our door. Other than that, its a nice cover for $450

Same here. If you have much wind it might wear a hole in the cover or the cover will wear a place on your RV.

I think a lot depends on location/environment. We have covered our trailers for many years without issue. For us it does help protect. Ours is parked in a relatively protected spot so wind doesn't beat it up or cause undue rubbing on the trailer paint.

Like AC covers, money makers for all concerned. None of my RV's have been covered, they sit under 3' of snow on the roof. I have heard many stories of RV covers casuing wear damage, let alone contribute to mold issues. Same with AC, a service man filled me in on that scam. Just think rain.

Definitely no cover if parked outside, if inside a cover is great.

You don't want anything rubbing on paint, a cover in wind will absolutely rub paint. You will reduce sun fade, but that the cost of paint scratches.

Put on a good coat of wax and leave it uncovered! seriously!!!

We covered our first Keystone travel trailer the first year we owned it. One year later I sold the cover to someone else. We had a horrible experience with ours covered and will never use one again. (unless it's that metal building). We had siding delamination and it was a result of moisture and lack of air flow because of the cover. Once the filon siding delaminated, we had permanent bubbles in the siding until the day we sold it. I know we lost money because of the bubbles. Lesson learned.

We also worried about the chaffing on the corners and edges every time we had strong winds.

We have a 3121RL and decided to go with the Adco all climate designer series olefin RV cover after MUCH research. It's a nice cover.

I have this one. It seems very well made, time will tell. There is no way it will blow off or move around. There is plenty of straps to hold it on, plus 3 straps go all the way around the camper from the sides.
