Users Manual

So, we're newbies! We have an Owner's Manual, but is there such a thing as a User's Manual that actually shows you what to do and what all those switches are for etc? Just wondering.

I suspect the only reason Keystone has an owners manual at all is to cover their liabilities.

But as luck would have it you have stumbled upon the best "owners manual" you could hope for, this forum. There is more knowledgeable people on here than you can shake a stick at. You won't get one answer to a question you will get a dozen and from people that know what they are talking about!

Yes, sadly I agree with the above. You tube is a great source for information and that the Keystone owners manual is only written by it's lawyers to avoid lawsuits.

They Keystone Owners Manual is a "generic" and it is placed in all of the Montana units. You have suggestions above on what to check out and I might add you can also join the Montana Owners Facebook page and find info there also. The best way to find out specifics is to ASK here on the Forum. You have experts here that can give you answers to nearly all questions you might have about your unit and it's workings. Welcome aboard and think about joining us at the 2018 Fall Rally in Goshen, Indiana in September(see the posting about how to sign up here on the Forum) and you will get all kinds of info at the Fall Rally about your unit and a whole lot of helpful folks that will answer questions you might have also. You can also attend any of the Regional Rallies, also posted here on the Forum under Regional Rallies, and meet more MOC members willing to help and answer questions you might have. Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy that unit

Agree with above MOC & Face book or you tube is the best place to go for information!

This site and u tube is the best manual you will find. I don’t know the reason why the company doesn’t supply us with a good manual. But you will find answers to all you questions here and on u tube. Since becoming an 5th wheel owner u tube has become my best friend along with this site. There is so much knowledge here it’s unbelievable

Not much reason for Keystone Montana to provide comprehensive, in-depth owners manuals - even their own company YouTube video said if owners have questions to post their questions on the MOC forum! That's pretty darn high accolades in my books. Safe travels and happy camping

There is a Keystone app and a Lippert NOW app.
Download both. Lots of manuals and info.
It's best to go to the manufacturer website for each appliance and download the manual from there.

Great advice Daryles - I should have thought to say that as well.

Welcome to the MOC Christa. The manuals are very generic and available on their website. You can download as well.

Unfortunately, the user manual supplied is at best a joke. One would think after paying a hefty price one would get something useful. But Montana takes advantage of their gullible buyers. I can only speak to our 10 years of ownership of a Montana that this site and many others on the web will be required to figure out, maintain and fix all the issues you will run into. Had I not been somewhat handy in fixing things we would have bought the RV twice counting warranty and out of warranty repairs. Just getting to a dealer and the loss of use of the Rv while it is in the dealer is expensive even under warranty repairs. So what you will find it is easier and sometimes les expensive to repair things your self rather than take it into a dealer for warranty repairs. Montana depends on that to keep their warranty repair costs lower. I could go though a list of warranty and non-warranty repairs we have had to go through but there isn't enough room to do that here. We were a stranger to RV ownership and Montana took us in. Never again.
