Coulter Bay Campground

Hello, I have booked this campground in May between Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP's. Anyone have any experience staying here? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Dennis

We've stayed there. The best part of this campground is it's proximity to some of the most beautiful sights to be seen. The sites are ok but lack cell/wifi if you want that. We had a bear walk right through camp but had no issues with it. I would stay there again.

Stayed there last August. Nice sites. Pretty level and FHU. A short walk to the lake where you can rent canoes, row boats, ?and others?

No inside restaurants are open. The one (sort of fast food) near the CG had carry out. If the hotel restaurants open by May, be prepared for spending $$$$$. It was our anniversary when we stayed and I looked into it. Both places costly. One had a one price dinner that included 4 courses. Main course had 3 choices of meat. It was $95 per person. Yikes!

Wife decided she could eat in Jackson 3 times for that, so we went to town twice. (Hotel was closed anyway, so we couldn't have eaten there if we wanted)

I love this campground. One of the most beautiful parts of the country. In 2017 sites were fine. Access was pretty easy despite a few tight turns in the campground. Nice staff. Wife hated it as no TV stations, no cell coverage, no wifi. Just too isolating for her.
