Question Durango to Silverton advice needed

I am thinking of driving this next summer to stay at Silverton. I am okay with driving narrow roads with steep drop offs, but am concerned about hair pin curves. I looked online and found some pictures of the route and a hair pin, and it appears I would have to drive partially in the other lane to make it around the corner. Is this what others have found? Advice?
Thanks

Have driven this road a couple of times. Take it slow and you should have no problem. Beautiful drive.

We usually drive the Durango-Silverton road every summer but without the RV. I have seen many RVs--all sizes on the road as well as 18 wheelers. Take it slow and easy and you should have no problems.

I travel this route a few times per month with a trailer; continuing on to Grand Junction. No problems.

Don't forget to ride the train while there. Great views you can't see from the road.

Been there, done that, thoroughly enjoyed it! We took the truck and drove to Silverton the day after the train ride. We also drove a bit further on the million dollar highway.
