Thank you for sharing. Could you send to me the contact information for the shop in El Cajon? My phone number is below and I can receive texts too! I have an Uncle in Cardiff and this would be an excellent time to visit him while the work is being done! By chance, do they do other welding work?

Cheers

I have attached a picture of their business card. You need to call and get an appointment. They are very busy. Count on waiting a few weeks to get the appointment. I do believe they will do all types of welding related to trailers. I was amazed at the diversity in the types of trailers they were working on. There is a Facebook link above in this chain that gives a sample of the type of work that they do including complicated rescue towing.

Add us to the broken hanger list. Found cracks on both door side hangars. Afraid to move it so I had a local mobile welder come to us.

I resolved my concerns regarding broken hangars by having MorRyde replace the Dexter Axles with Independant Suspension and disk brakes. The rig pulls, rides and stops much better!

We're selling it anyway. Decided we wanted to be more nimble so we're switching to a truck camper.

Many of the new RVs are now coming with this Lippert support welded onto the frame and spring hanger bracket as shown in 5his short PDF I lit together a while back.

It is standard now on grand design units

This happens all the time not only on montanas. Don`t you think it`s ridiculous that it has taken the RV industry 70 years to figure this out.

Yes I do. I’ve gotta admit, I was beyond PO’d when I found it. There is a thread on this forum that’s 10 years old about this very issue. But hey… it might cost $10.00 a unit to do it right!😏
