wet control board in heater

We have a 2017 3160RL and during a heavy rain, water came in through the ac vents in the ceiling and flooded the heater. Water filled up the heater about 1/2" and shorted out the control board causing the heater not to work. I replaced the control board and heater works fine. I think I have seen some info on this problem but cannot find it. Any info appreciated.

On our 2017 the problem was caused by the furnace cover. When rain was driven by wind it would get around the cover somehow and short out the board. Keystone replaced the cover at a national rally, but it still did it. I put butal tape around it like you would a window and no problems since.

IF the leak is coming through your air conditioning unit in the ceiling, have a look in the files section for the TSB regarding Dometic AC drip pan leak.

https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...hp?do=cat&id=3

Some have found the compression seal has failed around the bottom of the air conditioner.

If it's coming through the ceiling Vent fans, we installed vent covers.

If you are talking about water intrusion in the furnace, I made a furnace exhaust vent cover.
