Sailun's out of stock, what is good alternate

I just called my local tire dealer (national chain in Canada), and he is showing NO Sailun S637 in stock anywhere in the system. I can get Goodyears at 4x the price or Carlyle CSL, but are they any good?

Is there a 3rd choice after Goodyear and Sailun?

Hercules are another brand that I have seen talked about that some use and have had good service from. https://www.herculestire.com/tire-de...cules/H-901-ST
You could order Sailuns from Simple Tire and have them installed at a tire shop. https://simpletire.com/brands/sailun...EHeadTerm-S637

I don't see any info on that website that tells me if they are in Canada or not. Or if they can ship cross border for a similar cost, including any cross border fees, I will pay sales tax. I doubt it, but since you answered, maybe you already know? My post did say Canada.

Simpletire.com appears to have Sailun in stock. Do not know if they ship to Canada.

I've been running Hercules on my Montana for over 4 years now. No issues with them. (except the one that tread wore uneven due to a bent axle I wasn't aware of. I did replace that tire with another Hercules.)

Not that quick, it would be pretty much an all-day trip plus currency conversions and who knows what in cross-border fees. Plus, warranties don't generally cover you in another country. I bit the bullet and got the G14s for almost 4 times the price, but at least I know we are safe for the last 4,000Km/2,500mi trip home. The good news is the truck tires (6 of them) still have 17mm 5/8in tread left after 2 seasons of use, so they will last for the 12,000km/7,500mi 3-leg trip it will take to take 2 trailers back home.

Continental has a great trailer tire, higher speed and weight rating also.

I’m on my second set of Goodyear Endurance tires for our 2016 3160 RL Legacy. The first set lasted four years - 15K miles without any issues. Just replaced them with the same Goodyear tires.

The Goodyear Endurance tires are Load Range E which are insufficient for Montanas with 7K axles. But if you are willing to take the chance, good for you.

Load range E vs G!!!!! Now that he has been told, it's criminal liability versus simple liability should he injure anyone.

Maybe let us know where you plan to travel so we can get safely away.

I put on a set of Hercules about 3 years ago. They are stiff BUT awesome! They lost only 1lb of air after sitting since Thanksgiving. The only thing I will change is getting better wheels to handle the pressure the tires should be inflated to.
