If I'm not mistaken, the original question by the author, who owns a 2500, is whether or not to install airbags, and any problems associated with them....period. His post was not here to be beaten up by the 350/3500/4500, and the dually crowd. So sorry if some of us members don't have the most ideal tow vehicle.

They come with duallies, mine was in my packet next to my owner's manual in the glovebox.

On my 2018 ram dually they take out one rear spring on each side and put airbags in on the rear axle as part of the rear air leveling option.

I'd have never ordered this but it was on the truck on the lot I ended up buying.
It's the greatest thing ever. Hook up to the montana and hear the air compressor hum and truck back to level. It's really neat.

Not that the truck really drops much, because did I mention IT'S A DUALLY.

No trouble parking it, no trouble driving it, don't do anything different than I used to do in my 2015 silverado duramax 2500hd.

Agreed!

I've said it before on the forum somewhere. We are full timers and have put about 45,000 miles under us in the last two and a half years crisscrossing the USA.

I'm guessing 95% of 5ers we've seen were NOT being pulled by dually's.

We also have never seen a 5er RV accident of any kind in all that time.

We are like you and tow all over the country. We didn't go anywhere this year. I am finding that we are so glad we have seen as much as we have because I would never visit some of these cities after what has been going on in them.

Maybe there should be a section for all things weight police related. It's getting to the place where anything related to towing the dully guys scream the same thing.

I got kicked off a site for speaking the truth about towing just because some guy thought he knew it all. Funny I don't miss that site at all.
