DC system

Hello, when connected to shore power all my electrical systems work fine. When disconnected from shore power nothing works. Even when connected to my truck everything is dead. However, the running lights on the trailer work. The batteries are charged. I have a montana 3790RD. Any help is appreciated

It sounds like your battery disconnect switch is in the wrong position. It needs to be in the position where the key cannot be removed.

The other problem could be a failed resettable cb right behind the battery bank. It is easy to check with a voltmeter.

Since your switch is in the correct position (meaning you can not pull the red handle out), then you need to check for voltage on all the auto reset circuit breakers near the battery. They should all have +12 vdc on both terminals.
