346 LBQ measurement

Hi-
I have a 2013 Montana Mountaineer 346 LBQ. Unfortunately, it is 200 miles away from me and I need to measure a cabinet.

I want to install an electric fireplace in the cupboard below the TV and I'm hoping someone can provide dimensions so I can order one

The screen shot below is from a sales video I found posted in 2012. The salesman says it has a 32” flat screen TV. I think a 32” (diagonal screen measurement) is 27.9” wide…and assuming there might be 1/4” clearance on each side - you could assume the opening is 28.5” wide for starters.

Did you get your dimensions and/or pick a fireplace that fit? My mother has a 2011 346LBQ and I want to get her a fireplace, as well.

Unlikely as the OP last visited on 10/8/2022 before any response.

I added one in a very similar location on my 2007 3075RL. Removed the doors, measured the space available (height, width, depth) and found one very close to that size from the link below. Built a base for it to sit on, and a few trip pieces from Lowe's and it came out looking pretty good. I did install a vent under the fireplace to ensure getting good return air flow back to the fireplace as the intake air vent was on the top of the new fireplace.

Wow BB_Tex! That looks really good. If you did not say you did that yourself, I think everyone would assume it was factory! Nice Job!

Thank you all. I enjoy woodworking but am very much the amateur.

In this case the multiple choices of trim pieces available at Lowe’s and Home Depot made it pretty simple. Mostly just a matter of cut and fit. As for the finish, I had several cans of different color stains. I would use a rag and wipe on, and mostly off, one color. Then repeat with another color. And another. Each time making subtle changes in color until I was satisfied I was as close to the cabinet color as I could get.

The vent below was also stock trim and the vent screen was a piece of metal gutter leaf guard cut to fit and painted black.
