Generator Sizing

Montana’s that have pre-installed generators come with an Oman 5500 watts (5.5 kw) generator. The larger Montana's are 50 amp service which equates to 12,000 watts. To operate a 40’ Montana with 2 ac’s, an inverter, a converter, a household frig, and all the other normal items what size inverter or generator size would be recommended? An AC supposedly requires 2500 to start and 2000 on average run time. The Onan says it’s startup and run time are both 5500.

On the 50 amp, 12,000 watt line you would think you needed a 10-11 kw to match up, so why is an installed Onan only 5500?

All the inverter generators are 30 amp even though they may have 5-6000 watts, thus you can only get 30 to the rv.

So to get a 50 amp generator to run everything at once, would it be better to get a 10 kw regular generator or parallel two 4500 watt inverter generators?

Excellent I fo in that thread.
They also mention installing MicroAir EZ starts on the air conditioners.
I was going to recommend SoftStartRV. That's what I installed.
