Keeping Lithium batteries warm.

Need ideas, we live in MT it gets a little chilly here, we have left in -30 below. Just wondering what has been tried “Successfully”.

I made battery heaters from holding tank warmers for when we are boondocking in cold weather.
I also insulated the battery compartment and put a plug in battery warmer along the front edge for when we are on shore power.

Gary I used to use a 3D printer bed heater with a thermostat connected to my BMS. Since your LIOn’s have a built-in BMS I would look at any of the over the counter self-consumption heating wraps/blankets.

Other manufacturers offer similar at varying prices. Google is your friend.

PS bet you could snag another Q deal on them too

You could unhook them and store them inside. Also a good article on the subject: https://lithiumhub.com/lithium-batte...-need-to-know/

I don’t mind making good deals, but not every year, but if I had your money…
Thanks, hope I find a solution soon or I will have to start looking for a good deal.

I have two lithium batteries and they are amazing. Now, we left mid December for Texas with a side trip through Missouri for Christmas with family. We got hit with the -8 degrees and nasty windchills for about a week. The batteries did well with no issue and no subliminal heat in the front basement. Hope this offer another thought.

I just had lithium battery warmers made by Ultraheat, (www.ultraheat.com) in Elkhart IN. Not inexpensive, but they are custom cut for the type of battery you have. Just use the text contact feature to tell them what you need, since battery warmers are not listed on the site . They are very responsive and I had mine within a week of ordering.
