Take a look at the "REXING" brand line-up. I switched from another brand, finding better picture quality, handles 256G mini-SD card.

I also have a Garmin (66W). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I seems to work great, but is a little expensive. Previously, I had one of the cheaper units; it died.

I have the Garmin 785 GPS with Built-in Dash Cam, great set-up if you're looking for both RV GPS and Dash Cam.

DashCam

Rand McNally DashCam 500 for $180 on their website. Has all of the features I was looking for. But be careful of the windshield mount; I’ve broken mine when got too aggressive with repositioning. Rand McNally sent me a full replacement the next day at $0 cost to me. Great customer service!

I have been using a Crosstour 900 front and rear for a couple of years for $120 with the gps antenna. I love it but there is a better one just out, the 900 pro. It’s about the same price and will replace the 900, the specs got better and they use different cables. Make sure you get one that can loop, good night vision, high definition so you can read license plates.

Do you have the rear monitor mounted on the rear of your trailer?

No, they connect by wire, I have recorded some crazy stuff behind me that I wouldn’t have wanted to mis just driving the truck though. Lots of times someone will rear end you or claim something untrue that the rear cam will disprove.

I have the Thinkware F800 for several years and it works great. I have the 2 channel system, front and rear camera. I bough it from Black Box my car. They have a lot of good learning info on about dash cams on their website. Here the link:

Interesting I just installed the 66 had a 32g card lying around and I’m using that. What is the max size card it can handle..? Don’t remember reading anything about size just class.

DashCam

I have the RandMcNally 500 dash cam as well. Really like the setup. I can see where the windshield mount could be problematic

A couple things to consider with dash cams - will they become an orphan 10 minutes after you buy it with no customer service and then, can you actually see the picture on a 2" on the diagonal screen that many feature? We have two orphans and that little bitty screen - yep, see with a big magnifying class, mostly visible, if it worked at all.

There are brands like Farmin, REXING and ROVE that are hanging in there and the screen - as long as it's wifi equipped, can the seen on a smart phone or other android device. Also a few with bigger screen.

I'm looking at the ROVE R2-4K as replacements. Many on another site have recommended it:https://www.amazon.com/R2-4K-Dashboa...ef_=ast_sto_dp

The reason I purchased my dash cam, like most people who do, I wanted video evidence just in case I was involved in any incident or accident while driving or parked. I didn't want one with a screen because I wasn't interested in recording my trip and watching it on the camera screen. My main priority was mega pixel, recording quality, high capacity SD card and night recording. If I need to view any video I just connect my phone to the camera via wifi and download what I need.
IMHO, ask your self why you are buying the camera in the first place and what you want it to do. Like me, if you are buying it just in case you are involved in an accident then get a highest quality camera with the highest record quality you can afford just in case the video will be used in court or by Law enforcement to prove your case. Don't waste your money on bells and whistles you don't need or will never use..

Plus a very important thing that people don't think about when buying a dash cam is how hot it will get in you vehicle when parked. I live in Florida and my camera stays in my vehicle 24/7. It gets 120+ deg easy in my truck so I made sure what ever camera I bought it was able to handle the extreme heat of the sun beating on my windshield and camera all day.

Here's a very good buys guide to learn about dash cams and to answer any questions you might have. Once you decide what one you want search the internet for the best price..
I knew nothing about dash cameras before I bought mine .Here is where I went to learned about them before I made my purchase.

I have a 785 Garmin with a built in dash cam.. I kills 2 birds with one stone. I love it, it’s very easy to set up a RV. That video could help you prove it was not your fault,

Those with front and rear cameras, did you mount the rear view camera in the rear window? And if so, how did you run the cable?

I just downloaded this to my phone. I have a windshield suction cup mount. Depending upon your phone and memory. It is a free app to try and download. If you want the graphics imbedded you have to pay a small fee to enable this. It also has a sport mode. Accel and braking distance and time.
I'm still playing with it so I don't have all the answers.
Best part is it is free to try.

There probably is an apple version also. from the istore and google play.

Yes, that's normal. There is likely a setting on the camera that can change the length of the recording segment but you can't turn it off...and you don't want to. When the data card is full the camera will delete the oldest segment to make room for the newest. It will continue to loop that way so you always have the latest recording.
